Parts of W.Va. start holiday with below-zero temps

CHARLESTON — Residents in parts of West Virginia woke up to below-zero temperatures on Washington’s Birthday.

The National Weather Service says Glady in Randolph County was the coldest spot in the state Monday morning. The temperature was minus 7.

Kumbrabow State Forest and Elkins-Randolph County Regional Airport both reported minus-5 temperatures.

Snowshoe Mountain in Pocahontas County reported an overnight low of minus-4.
