Oak Hill man charged with murder after Thursday shooting

OAK HILL — A 23-year-old man is being charged with murder after a fatal shooting at the corner of Mahan Street and Highlawn Avenue in Oak Hill Thursday around 3:30 p.m., according to the Oak Hill Police Department.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a victim who had suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to Plateau Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Terreque Alj Gray, 23, of Oak Hill, has been charged with murder and is being held at Southern Regional Jail pending arraignment with a circuit court judge.

The Oak Hill Police Department, West Virginia State Police and Fayette County Sheriff’s Department are handling the investigation.
