Va jail inmate captured after 2 days on lam

HAMPTON, Va. — A convicted bank robber has been caught two days after escaping from the Hampton Correctional Facility.

Hampton police spokesman Sgt. Jason Price tells media outlets that Michael Dontae Stanback was arrested without incident at a home on Thursday night.

Stanback escaped from the jail’s recreational area Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Newport News man received a 14-year sentence on Sept. 5 for robbing the Navy Federal Credit Union in November 2008.
