Small plane damages hangar at Va. airport

RICHMOND, Va. —  Authorities are investigating an accident involving a small plane that damaged a hangar at Newport News Williamsburg International Airport.

Airport spokeswoman Jessica Wharton tells media outlets that the single-engine plane was on the ground when it hit a hangar owned by Rick Aviation.

The pilot wasn’t injured.

The accident occurred Saturday.

Damage estimates weren’t immediately available.
