PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — A capsized boat in the Ohio River has left one man dead and rescue crews are searching for another missing boater.
Parkersburg Fire Capt. Jeff Smith says several police and fire departments responded to the scene Saturday night near Blennerhassett Island.
Wood County Coroner Mike St. Clair says 50-year-old David Midcap of Parkersburg was declared dead at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
An officer from the state Division of Natural Resources told WTAP-TV that five others from the boat made it safely to shore Saturday and a search continued Sunday for a seventh person.
