Person struck, killed by Marc train
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — Maryland Transit Administration officials say a person has been struck and killed by a Marc train east of Martinsburg.
An MTA spokeswoman says it happened Thursday about 7:40 p.m. near Van Clevesville Road. Marc train 874 was traveling from Washington to Martinsburg.
The spokeswoman said none of the passengers was injured, but the train’s engineer had to be relieved after the incident.
The accident is under investigation.
