The May 21 cover of Time magazine is drawing attention and generating comments before it’s even hit the newsstands — the sight of a mother breastfeeding a little boy wearing camouflage pants and a T-shirt is not what’s normally seen while waiting at a grocery check out.
The mother, 26-year-old Jamie Lynn Grumet, is appearing on the TODAY show Friday to talk about it, according to MSNBC. On her Twitter account, she’s exclaimed: “Oh, my gosh! Aram and I are on the cover @timemagazine.”
After getting past the cover, the story is about attachment parenting with a profile of Dr. William Sears, along with pictures of real moms who follow the attachment parenting philosophy of baby-wearing, co-sleeping, and extended nursing.
