Bradshaw earns NFL Player of Week honors

GARDNER — NEW YORK — Ahmad Bradshaw was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the New York Giants’ victory over the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday.

Bradshaw, a former standout for Graham High School and Marshall University, scored all three of the Giants’ touchdowns on one-yard runs in the 27-24 triumph.

The three scores were a career high, as were his 26 rushing attempts. Bradshaw rushed for a season-high 104 yards.

He scored on a one-yard run in each of the first three quarters before his 30-yard run helped set up Lawrence Tynes’ game-winning 23-yard field with 1:32 remaining.

Bradshaw leads the Giants with 390 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

This is Bradshaw’s second Player of the Week award and the second time a Giants player has been honored this season.

Bradshaw received the award in Week 4 of the 2010 season after rushing for 129 yards and a touchdown in a victory over Chicago.
