Bradshaw released by Giants

BLUEFIELD —  Bluefield native Ahmad Bradshaw and NFL running back Ahmad Bradshaw has been released by the New York Giants, according to multiple reports, including CBS New York and other news organizations.

Bradshaw, who had a stellar career at Graham and Marshall, ran for 1,015 yards and six touchdowns this season. Bradshaw, a seventh round draft choice by the Giants in 2007, ran for 4,232 yards and 31 touchdowns in six seasons with the Giants. He scored the winning touchdown for the Giants last year in the Super Bowl win over the Patriots.

Bradshaw, who has two years left on his current contract, has struggled with injuries and fumbles in his tenure with the Giants.
