PRINCETON — The Princeton Tigers sustained losses in their last two road games. At Ripley (10-5) on Jan. 27, they fell victim to the hosts’ second half rally and lost 59-46. South Charleston (11-3) dealt Princeton a 67-46 setback on Jan. 29.
Several of the Tigers' games were postponed due to foul weather.
TIGERS—46,
RIPLEY—59
The Tigers played excellent ball in the first half. They jumped out to a 21-13 lead in the first quarter and led 31-28 at the half.
Unfortunately, for Princeton, the second half was a completely different story. The Tiger shooters went cold scoring only 15 points in the last half. Conversely, the Vikings’ shooting touch got hot. Chase Fischer, the state’s leading scorer at 33 points per game, pumped in 21 of his 32 points in the second half. These points enabled Fischer, a junior, to exceed the 1,000-point milestone in his career.
Tiger junior captain Adam Mills bucketed a career high 16 points. He made seven of 11 shots from the field. Tevin Allen added nine points and six rebounds. Darnell Palmer connected on two long-range shots for six points.
Other Princeton scorers were Sean Williams (5 points), O. B. Pannell (4 points), Jerrell Powell (2 points), Tre’ Hopkins (2 points), Chris Watkins (1 point), and Shane Musick (1 point).
O.B. Pannell led the rebounding effort with 10 boards.
Princeton had a good floor game committing seven miscues, a season low, but their field goal percentage was 27 percent.

The Black Eagles dominated the Tigers in most facets of the game.
Princeton’s field goal accuracy was a season- low 19 percent. They incurred 21 turnovers.
