The Princeton Times welcomed more than 130 costumed visitors and their parents to our seventh annual Trick-or-Treat at the Times event on Halloween Day. The event included a harvest photo shoot by award-winning photographer Eric DiNovo, lots of sweet treats and child-identification fingerprinting by West Virginia State Police Sgt. M.D. Clemons.

Slideshow: Kids Carve Out Cancer, Take II
The Jonathan Powell Hope Foundation offered kids a chance to help families facing childhood cancer Sunday, Oct. 30, with a Kids Carving Out Cancer event at Stumpkins Pumpkins Farm on Old Oakvale Road. The afternoon celebration included sessions of pumpkin carving, marshmallow roasting, face painting, a haunted hayride and more.

Slideshow: Princeton City Council hosts city hall hearing
Princeton City Council met in special session Monday to gather public input on a proposal that would move City Hall from Courthouse Road to Mercer Street. At the end of the lengthy public hearing, the panel voted 4-3 to purchase the former First Community Bank Building on Mercer Street and renovate it. No timeline has been established for the project yet.

Slideshow: Trick-or-treat twinkletoes
Princeton Dance Studio, under the direction of Janis Gunnoe,turned traditional dance class into a sweet experience during for its annual Halloween Party Tuesday. The class invited preschool dancers to show off their best moves in their Halloween costumes. The tiny ballerinas galloped around a witch's hat and handed out plenty of sweet treats.
