Aug. 20
• ATTEMPT TO COMMIT A FELONY: Ptlm. C.S. Winkler responded to a complaint of a forged prescription at Princeton Community Hospital. The complainant advised that a woman had arrived at the hospital seeking a new prescription, because CVS Pharmacy and Four Seasons Pharmacy refused to fill it due to an altered appearance. Someone had allegedly changed the prescription from 10 mg. Lortab to 40 mg. Lortab.
• FAILURE TO APPEAR, BREACH OF PEACE: Robert Daniel Blankenship, 35, of Princeton, turned himself in on warrants for the listed charges. Ptlm. M.B. Gergely filed the report.
• SHOPLIFTING: Sgt. W.J. Gilley responded to Kroger, where a complainant advised a woman had concealed cosmetics and attempted to leave without paying for it. Ashley Radford, 25, of Princeton, was cited for shoplifting.
• SHOPLIFTING: Ptlm. J.S. Bish responded to Grant's Supermarket on East Main Street, where a complainant reported a white female had attempted to steal a baby bottle, baby shampoo and Fibercon from the store. A manager approached the woman and retrieved the items. The woman then reportedly fled in a white Sunbird with front-end damage.
• PETIT LARCENY, BURGLARY: Officers responded to Old Bluefield Road in reference to burglary. The complainant advised Ptlm. J.D. Lambert that someone kicked in the bedroom door and stole a bottle of prescription medication.
• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Officers responded to Lower Pine Street, where a complainant advised someone in a green Ford Probe stopped in front of his residence and threw a rock through the front window. Ptlm. B.E. Grimm filed the report.
Aug. 23
• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, PETIT LARCENY: A complainant advised Ptlm. W.M. Bradley that someone had scratched derogatory remarks on his vehicle while it was parked in a lot on Lazenby Avenue.
• COUNTERFEIT BILL: Ptlm. T.A. Bailey responded to Princeton Sanitary Board, where a complainant reported receiving a counterfeit bill.
• PETIT LARCENY: A complainant reported that someone stole eight rims outside his North Second Street shop. Ptlm. W.M. Bradley filed the report.
• SHOPLIFTING: Ptlm. W.M. Bradley investigated a shoplifting report at Dollar General Store on Mercer Street. The woman allegedly entered the store, concealed three packs of T-shirts and left the store. A witness followed the woman and recorded vehicle information, but officers were unable to locate the suspect.
• DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Lt. P.W. Hill and other officers responded to North Wickham Avenue, where a male was reported beating on a female on the side of the road. A woman at the scene advised officers she and a male got into a fight and fell to the ground before someone separated them. The male fled the scene before officers arrived, and Hill reported the woman did not wish to pursue charges.

• PETIT LARCENY: Ptlm. C.S. Winkler responded to a Mercer Street parking lot, where a complainant advised four center caps were stolen from her vehicle.
Aug. 25
• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Sgt. T.A. Gray responded to Rogers Street, where a complainant stated she was traveling on the road when someone threw a rock from the railroad trestle and struck her windshield.
