PETIT LARCENY: A male subject reported his firearm was missing on Thorn Avenue.
Oct. 7
LEAVING THE SCENE (PROPERTY DAMAGE); DRIVING REVOKED FOR DUI: A male subject reported to Dep. C.K. Lester that a male driver had struck three of his vehicles on Coal Heritage Road and fled on foot. The male subject's son later informed the officers that he had located the male. The officer noted the subject appeared to be extremely intoxicated. The officer later learned the male was driving with a revoked driver's license. The defendant requested transport to Bluefield Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the accident.
Oct. 9
PETIT LARCENY: A female subject reported that a male and female had driven off with her purse in their car at the Go Mart in Green Valley.
EMBEZZLEMENT: J.C. Penney Loss Prevention reported to Dep. K.M. Saddler that an employee had issued a fraudulent gift card transaction and used the money herself. The female allegedly completed a statement confirming the loss prevention account of events. Warrants are pending.
Oct. 10
DISORDERLY CONDUCT; OBSTRUCTING: Sgt. G.W. Woods, Dep. W.C. Wilborn and A.M. Ballard responded to Pauli Heights apartments in reference to an unknown male creating a disturbance.
The officers arrived and learned the subject was a juvenile male who had been told to not come back to the residence. While the officers were attempting to speak to his mother, the male allegedly became belligerent and refused to release his hands to be handcuffed following alleged repeated interruptions of the officers. During a brief struggle, the officers were able to subdue the male using OC spray. The juvenile was transported to the Sam Perdue Juvenile Center.
FALSE PRETENSES: A female subject reported she had written two checks to a male to perform work but he had not performed the work. Warrants are pending.
