Nov. 6
• GAS DRIVE-OFF: Sgt. W.J. Gilley responded to Princeton Mart, where a complainant reported a white male driving a white GMC Jimmy pumped $47 in gas and left without paying.
• PETIT LARCENY: Ptlm. W.M. Bradley received a report that someone entered a Kia Sportage at Frederick Court and took a knife and a MP3 converter.
• FORGERY, UTTERING: A woman reported her mother took two payroll checks, endorsed them and cashed them. The woman brought copies of the checks from BB&T.; Ptlm. E.T. Pugh reported he was awaiting word from the complainant before advancing charges.
• PETIT LARCENY: Ptlm. J.D. Lambert responded to a report of a stolen bicycle on Highland Avenue. The bike is black and purple and has tape on the seat.
Nov. 7
• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Lt. K.T. Compton, Ptlm. J.D. Lambert and Ptlm. D.A. Weatherly responded to a report of a window kicked in on Mercer Street. Officers located the window, searched the building and spoke with a resident nearby, who reported he didn't hear anything overnight.
• PETIT LARCENY Ptlm. W.M. Bradley received a report that a Barancho dirt bike had been taken from a Harrison Street yard.
• BREACH OF PEACE: Sgt. W.J. Gilley responded to a report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave an Upper Pine Street residence. The suspect was located in front of the residence with several 40-ounce beer bottles in his possession. Officers attempted to get an address from the suspect so they could transport him home, but the man allegedly told them he wanted to go to jail. James Konsack, 59, of Bluefield, was charged with breach of peace.
Nov. 8
• FAILURE TO APPEAR, DRIVING SUSPENDED: West Virginia State Police Trooper M.S. Haynes transported Jeremiah Stillwell, 27, of Lashmeet, to PPD on warrants alleging failure to appear and driving suspended. There, Sgt. W.J. Gilley arrested Stillwell.
Nov. 9
• BATTERY: Ptlm. J.D. Lambert and Sgt. T.A. Gray responded to Christie Avenue, where three female juveniles and one male juvenile were reported in an altercation in the street. The females had left the scene when officers arrived. The male juvenile reported the girls taunted him by calling him and family members names. When he stepped out of the home, one allegedly struck him with a stick in the chest. The report was forwarded to juvenile authorities.
• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, PETIT LARCENY: Sgt. T.A. Gray responded to Squeaky Clean Car Wash on Rogers Street, where several vacuum cleaners had been broken into. Gray reported that all six locks and welded boxes had been broken.
• VIOLATION OF DVP: Ptlm. J.S. Bish responded to Mercer Street, where a suspect was reported harassing a man. The officer allegedly observed the man demand money from the business operator. The officer intervened and asked the suspect to step outside the business. Mercer Control then reported the complainant had an active domestic violence protective order against the suspect.
• SEXUAL ASSAULT: Det. Sgt. J.W. Howell and Det. D.B. Whited talked with a woman who reported that her then-14-year-old daughter had sex with and became pregnant by a man who was 18 or 19 at the time. The woman reported a DNA test confirmed within 99.99 percent certainty that the suspect was the father of the daughter's baby. Warrants were pending.
