Oct. 31

SHOPLIFTING: Ptlm. C.S. Winkler responded to Allen's Supermarket, where an employee reported seeing a customer conceal two strip-sirloin steaks in her purse without paying for them. Drema Barton, 52, of Princeton, was cited for first-offense shoplifting.

PETIT LARCENY: Ptlm. J.D. Halsey and Ptlm. D.A. Weatherly received a call from a Highland Avenue resident who reported he had been away from his home on a business trip for a while and returned home to find clothing and other possessions missing from the home. The case remained under investigation.

DUI: While patrolling Stafford Drive, Ptlm. J.D. Lambert reported seeing a blue Ford F-150 pull out of S and S gas station and turn east on Stafford Drive with no lights on , and swerving all over Stafford Drive. The officer initiated a traffic stop, during which the driver allegedly failed field sobriety testing. Larry Neal, 30, of Princeton, was arrested on a charge of DUI. Blood-alcohol test allegedly revealed readings of 0.205 and 0.191, both over the legal limit of 0.08.

FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR DUI, SIMPLE POSSESSION: Ptlm. J.S. Bish responded to Princeton Mart to back up Ptlm. J.D. Lambert, where a man wanted on warrants was reported. Officers had the man step out of his vehicle, and a search allegedly revealed a baggy of what appeared to be marijuana in his pants pocket. David Quesinberry, 41, of Princeton, was charged with failure to appear on a DUI charge and cited for simple possession.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Det. D.B. White, Ptlm. J.D. Halsey and Sgt. T.A. Gray responded to a Knob Street domestic complaint. There, Gray reported seeing the suspect push his wife inside the kitchen. The woman told officers the man pushed her, struck her in the shoulder and threw a dresser drawer in her direction. Officers arrested Patricia Hays, 59, of Princeton, and advised the woman of the domestic violence protective order process.

Nov. 1

HAZARDOUS DRIVING, EXPIRED LICENSE, POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DELIVER: Ptlm. M.B. Gergely responded to a complaint of a female sitting in the Little Caesar's drive-through for 20 minutes. When Gergely arrived, the woman sitting in the driver's seat of the car allegedly told the officer she was waiting on food and that the driver of the car had left her there. An employee of the restaurant told Gergely that the woman was driving the car and had hit a car in front of her. The other car allegedly fled. A DMV check revealed that the driver's license had expired in 1994, and the officer reported finding numerous controlled substances inside the car. The pills were seized, and the driver, Shelia Harvey, 37, of Princeton, was cited.

Nov. 2

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Ptlm. E.T. Pugh responded to a physical altercation on Kirk Street. The complainant and her boyfriend reported they were involved in an altercation with her ex-boyfriend. The woman told the officer her ex-boyfriend punched the screen of her laptop computer before throwing it, hitting her in the face. The woman further alleged that the man put her in a choke hold, causing both of them to fall to the floor. The woman declined to pursue charges at the time, and the suspect left the residence with his two small children.

GRAND LARCENY: Capt. M.L. Gills arrested Stephanie Hart Dillow, 31, of Bramwell, on a grand larceny warrant.

Nov. 3

DUI, DRIVING REVOKED FOR DUI: Lt. K.T. Compton and Sgt. T.A. Gray responded to a single vehicle crash on Oakvale Road involving a 2002 Dodge Durango. When officers arrived, they observed that the vehicle had rolled over and that the driver had fled the scene. While emergency workers cleared the scene, a witness told officers where to find the driver of the vehicle. Gray reported that the man admitted he owned the vehicle and that he had been involved in an accident earlier in the evening. The man allegedly failed field sobriety testing and registered 0.200 blood-alcohol content. Richard Scott, 21, of Narrows, Va., was arrested.
