Oct. 20

• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Ptlm. B.E. Grimm received a call from a South Walker Street address, where a complainant reported someone drove through the yard and hit the front sign, knocking it out of place.

Oct. 23

• ASSAULT: Ptlm. J.D. Halsey received a call in reference to an assault reported at the Little General Store on Stafford Drive. Halsey and Ptlm. D.A. Weatherly spoke to the complainant who reported that she had been assaulted by a man who stated he was going to shoot her and kill her if she didn't give him his money. The woman allegedly followed the vehicle to get a registration number on the vehicle and returned to the Little General Store to wait on officers. A warrant was pending.

• FAILURE TO APPEAR: Ptlm. E.T. Pugh arrested Roger Lee Thornton, 31, of Princeton, on a failure to appear warrant.

Oct. 24

• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Ptlm. B.E. Grimm received a call from North Wickham, where a complainant reported his car had been sprayed with washable paint. All four of his tires were also deflated.

• FOUND PROPERTY: Sgt. T.A. Gray and Ptlm. E.T. Pugh conducted a traffic stop in the area of Washington Avenue and Reynolds Avenue, where they reported finding medication in the center console. The driver reported the medicine belonged to her grandmother. Officers advised her that the grandmother could pick up the medication at the police department.

Oct. 25

• DRIVING REVOKED FOR DUI: Ptlm. J.D. Halsey reported seeing a white Dodge Stratus parked in the Citgo lot with two individuals inside while the store was closed. As the officer shined his cruiser lights on the vehicle, the subject fled the lot. Halsey followed the car to the Little General Store. When the officer questioned the driver, he reported smelling alcohol on his breath. The driver allegedly failed field sobriety testing. Thomas Hummell, 32, of Bluefield, was arrested.

• BURGLARY, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Ptlm. J.D. Lambert investigated a reported burglary on Kee Street. The complainant reported hearing a noise and investigating when he heard individuals go out the window. Nothing was reported missing.

Oct. 26

• PETIT LARCENY: Ptlm. B.E. Grimm responded to Garden Oaks, where a complainant reported wooden signs, a metal wall hanging and other lawn ornaments were taken from his front and back lawns.

• PETIT LARCENY: Ptlm. B.E. Grimm responded to Princeton Towers, where a complainant reported there was money missing from her bedroom dresser.

• FAILURE TO APPEAR, NO INSURANCE, IMPROPER REGISTRATION: Lt. P.W. Hill reported seeing the driver of a black and gray Chevrolet Blazer as Christina Jolley, 26, of Bluefield. The officer knew the woman to have an outstanding warrant and initiated a traffic stop and an arrest.

Oct. 27

• SIMPLE POSSESSION: Sgt. B.R. Woodard and Ptlm. D.B. Whited responded to Princeton Community Hospital, where a controlled substance was located on a patient. Officers investigated and confiscated a plastic baggy containing a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

• PETIT LARCENY: A complainant told Ptlm. W.M. Bradley that she noticed a cement garden statue of a little girl had been taken from her front yard at Garden Oaks.

Oct. 28

• DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Lt. P.W. Hill responded to Country Power and Equipment, where someone broke a window out the back of the business.
