• GRAND LARCENY, DRIVING REVOKED: Dep. J.D. Ellison responded to Montcalm's Crane Creek Road, where a suspect reportedly drove through posts and yards in the area before wrecking his vehicle. Witnesses at the scene also reported seeing the suspect throw bottles of alcohol and empty containers from his car into the creek before entering a nearby trailer. Further investigation revealed that witnesses did identify Richard Tiller, 44, of Lerona, as the driver of the car, which was registered solely to the suspect's estranged wife, who told officers she did not want the man driving the vehicle. Tiller also allegedly ran over the wife's mailbox when he left with the vehicle she reported as stolen. Richard Tiller was arrested.

• PETIT LARCENY, BURGLARY: Dep. J.D. Ellison received a report from an Oaks Mobile Home resident, who advised someone broke into her home and stole a TV, game system and games.

• HARASSMENT: Dep. J.D. Ellison received a report from a man who claimed another man attempted to entice him to fight at the Omelet Spot on Oakvale Road.

Aug. 7

• GRAND LARCENY, DRIVING REVOKED FOR DUI, CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT A FELONY: Sgt. G.W. Woods responded to the area of Sandlick Road, where a complainant advised he managed to detain two subjects he believed to have stolen items from his residence. When Woods arrived, the suspects were still blocked in, and futons allegedly taken from the complainant's home were showing in the trunk. Joseph Blackwell, 47, of Bluefield, and Homer Denton, age and address unavailable, were arrested on charges of grand larceny and conspiracy. The driver, who was not identified in the police report, was also charged with driving revoked due to previous DUI convictions.

Aug. 8

• DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Sgt. S.J. Cary responded to Nutmeg Place, where a possible altercation was reported between a mother and daughter. The mother advised her daughter had attempted to kill herself by cutting her wrist and that she had intervened, which started an altercation. Officers located the younger woman and reported that she did appear to have a large laceration on her wrist. Medical authorities and the woman's family were contacted, and responded. Once the mother arrived, the suspect allegedly became more angry and belligerent and reportedly refused to calm down, despite repeated instructions to do so. Dustina Marie Sizemore, 35, of Bluefield, was arrested.

Aug. 10

• ASSAULT: A man reported he was traveling on Maple Acres Road, when he noticed a gray Ford Truck following him. The complainant reported that the truck followed him all the way home, “riding his bumper” the whole way. When the complainant exited his vehicle to check the mail, the suspect driver allegedly told him that the pipes on his vehicle were too loud and that the driver of the truck was going to his home to retrieve a firearm so he could return and shoot the complainant. The alleged suspect, however, told the officer that he never mentioned a firearm until the complainant threatened him with a baseball bat. Neither man produced a weapon to follow through on threats. Parks advised the complainant to travel by the suspect's house in a higher gear, so the vehicle wouldn't be so noisy and to post No Trespassing signs on his property to deter the suspect from following him more.

• POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: Sgt. S.J. Cary reported seeing a Chevrolet Cavalier traveling on Stafford Drive without a valid inspection sticker. The officer initiated a traffic stop and reported finding one of the occupants in possession of approximately 5 grams of marijuana. Raul Michael Flecha Jr., 20, of Bluefield, was charged with possession of marijuana.

• BURGLARY, PETIT LARCENY: A New Hope Road resident reported that a friend saw a thin white male leave the complainant's home with a game system and game. Dep. J.D. Ellison filed the report.
