NOV. 9
LEAVING THE SCENE: Officers received reports of a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident on Carolina Avenue at 11:08 a.m. Officers reported the property owner did not wish to file a report after being advised of their options.
INJURED ANIMAL: Officers received reports of an injured animal on Bluefield Avenue at 1:30 p.m. Animal Control Officer Randall Thompson filed an animal control report and transported the cat to the Mercer County Animal Shelter.
IDENTITY THEFT: Officers received reports of identity theft on Hill Avenue at 2:52 p.m. and again at 4:35 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and filed an offense report.
THEFT: Officers received reports of a theft on Park Street at 3:55 p.m. Officers have a report pending.
THEFT: Officers received reports of a stolen cell phone West Cumberland Road at 5:21 p.m. Officers filed an offense report.
INTOXICATION: Officers received reports of an intoxicated person on College Avenue at 10:23 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options and reported the male subject had left the area.
NOV. 10
HARASSMENT: Officers received reports of harassment on Princeton Avenue at 12:17 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.
PURSUIT: Officers reported a pursuit on East Cumberland Road at 1:23 a.m. Officers arrested one male subject and filed an offense report.
LEAVING THE SCENE: Officers received reports of a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident on East Cumberland Road at 1:31 p.m. Officers filed a crash complaint report.
DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Mountainview Avenue at 2:29 p.m. Officers reported the person was a medical patient and advised complainants of their options.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Officers received reports of a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on John Nash Boulevard at 5:52 p.m. Officers filed a complaint report.
BURGLARY: Officers received reports of a burglary on Edgewood Drive at 7:59 p.m. Officers filed an offense report.
NOV. 11
DISTURBANCE: Officers received reports of a disturbance on Frederick Street at 12:21 a.m. and at 1:02 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.
THEFT: Officers received reports of a theft on North Street at 1:56 a.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.
ASSAULT: Officers received reports of an assault on Cherry Street at 7:47 a.m. Officers reported the victim refused to cooperate and advised complainants of their options.
VANDALISM: Officers received reports of vandalism to a vehicle on Toledo Street at 12:01 p.m. Officers reported the complainant did not wish to file a complaint after being advised of their options.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Officers received reports of a suspicious person on Cherry Street at 1:40 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.
THEFT: Officers received reports of a theft on Hill Avenue at 5:17 p.m. Officers advised complainants of their options.
THEFT: Officers received reports of a theft on Preston Street at 5:45 p.m. Officers filed an offense report.
TAZEWELL SHERIFF
Between the dates of Nov. 3, 2012 and Nov. 9, 2012, the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office made 73 arrests, issued 11 traffic tickets, worked three traffic accidents, responded to 190 calls, served 249 civil papers, supervised inmates who picked up 84 bags of trash, responded to 15 animal complaints and impounded nine animals.
