MONTCALM —
David Chester Jenkins, age 61, of PO Box 235, Montcalm, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 27, 1951 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Wilbur Chester Jenkins and Elsie Lorraine Lusk. He had been a resident of Montcalm for 20 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Bluefield Moose Lodge and was a graduate of Bluefield State College. He was employed by First Community Bank's corporate office where he worked as a computer technician.
Survivors include: Sister: Kathy Renee Harris of San Bernardino, Calif.; brother: Joseph (Joe) Exel Jenkins of Mundelein, Ill.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
