MARS, Pa. —
Mamie Elizabeth Wheeler Anderson, 94, a resident of Lutheran Senior Life, St. Johns Specialty Care Center of Mars, Pa., formerly of Bluefield, W.Va., died Sunday, February 24, 2013.
She was born August 27, 1918, in Rocky Gap, Va., a daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Ann Starling Wheeler. She was a long time member of the Laurel Fork Church of Christ in Rocky Gap, Va. and a member of the Forty-Niners Club in Rocky Gap. She was an LPN for 37 years for the former St. Lukes Hospital in Bluefield, W.Va.
Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Elizabeth Anderson Cipolla of Economy; two grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth (James Alan) Cipolla Kuny of Economy, Lori Anne Cipolla (William Frank) Kleigleng of Monaca; four great-grandchildren, Averi Victoria and Cooper Michael Kleigleng and Joshua James and Zachary David Kuny; a nephew, Sherman Robert (Barbara Mentz) Worley of Encinitas, Calif.; a great-nephew, John Robert Worley.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her son-in-law, Anthony Patrick Cipolla; a sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Lucille Wheeler and Sherman Otis Worley.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, Pa. Additional visitation will take place on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Mercer Funeral Home, 1231 W. Cumberland Road, Bluefield, W.Va. Family and friends will meet Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Laurel Fork Church of Christ, Rocky Gap, Va. where additional visitation will take place until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Woody Bailey, Minister of Laurel Fork Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow in the Laurel Fork Church of Christ Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to LAS St. Johns Specialty Care or the Laurel Fork Church of Christ.
