KEGLEY —
William Randell Lee Hall, 67, of Kegley, went home to be with his Lord and savior Friday, December 7, 2012 at his home. Born June 9, 1945 at Princeton, he was the son of the late William Thomas Hall and Lillian Bell Ward Hall.
Mr. Hall was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Vietnam. He worked as a tractor trailer driver for J.B. Hunt Co. He was a life member of the D.A.V. and was coordinator of the van service in Mercer County. He was a lifetime member of Vietnam Veterans Chapter 628. He was a member of Rich Creek Baptist Church at Spanishburg. He loved hunting, fishing, farming and taking care of his chickens. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special uncle, Lee Hall.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Mary Cochran Hall of the home; one daughter, Jackie Copenhaver and her husband Shawn of Oakvale; three grandchildren, Megan Copenhaver, Zachary Copenhaver and Jacob Copenhaver all of Oakvale; three sisters, Susan Wright and her husband Herman of Beauford, N.C., Debbie Hedrick and her husband Keith of Camp Creek and Jerry Hall of Lake Bottom; and one brother, Gary Hall and his wife Donna of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Revs. Ralph Calfee and Archie Bowling officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Council and the Navy Honor Guard.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wes Garris, Jim Flinchum, Ernie Gillespie, Clyde Hall, Joe Bailey, Jerry Midkiff and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 10, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
