CEDAR BLUFF, Va. —
James Robert “Bobby” Jessee, age 47, of Cedar Bluff, Va., died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn. He was born February 22, 1965 in Tazewell, Va., and was the son of Mary Ruth Clemons Jessee of North Tazewell, Va. and the late Kermit Lee Jessee.
Bobby was a 1983 graduate of Tazewell High School and was a contracted employee with VDOT. He was a generous and good natured person who loved his family, his fiancée, and his cats. Bobby enjoyed working outside in his yard and was a fan of NASCAR.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Newt and Mary Clemons; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Pearl Jessee; one uncle, Darrell Jessee; one nephew, Matthew Flack.
In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include: His fiancée, Rosa Kathleen Byrd of Cedar Bluff, Va.; two sisters, Donna Christian and husband, Michael and Amber Viney, both of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Fred Viney of Phoenix, Ariz.; two nieces, Izzabella Christian and Alexis Flack; two nephews, Mark Viney and Adonis Viney; other family members and many friends also survive.
Graveside services and interment for James Robert “Bobby” Jessee will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Va., with the Rev. J.C. Johnson officiating. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012.
