LINDSIDE —
Evelyn Emma Ferguson Broyles, age 96, of Lindside, passed away Wednesday Jan. 16, 2013 at Country View Assisted Living, Peterstown. Born Nov. 9, 1916 at Peterstown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Oather and Jennie Avis Boothe Ferguson.
Mrs. Broyles was a homemaker and a member of the Spruce Run Church of the Brethren at Lindside.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Adrian Broyles; three brothers, James “Foggy” Ferguson, William Howard Ferguson, and Edward “Buddy” Ferguson; four sisters, Pauline Ferguson, Betty McMilan, Louise Boothe, and Alice Dillion.
Mrs. Broyles is survived by one daughter, Patricia Harper and husband Barry; and one son, Eddie Broyles all of Lindside; one brother, Raymond Ferguson and wife Iris of Black Lick, OH; two grandchildren, Steve Coulter and wife Tammy of Charlotte, N.C., and Cathy Martin and husband Phillip of Roanoke, Va.; six great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Cody, Cameron, Zekiah, Isaac, and Anna Beth; and two very special people in her life, Lee Thompson and Lois Thompson.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday Jan. 19, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown with Bro. Rodger Boothe and Pastor Dewey Broyles officiating. Burial will follow at the Broyles Cemetery, Lindside. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, (Friday) Jan. 18, 2013 at the funeral home. Steve Coulter, Cody Coulter, Lee Thompson, Dickie Broyles, William Broyles, and Carl Harman will serve as pallbearers.
