LYNCHBURG, Va. —
Sharon Kay Roberts Bulson, 55, of Lynchburg went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 12. 2013 at the Privette Care Home. Born in Princeton, W.Va. on October 15, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Creed Evert Roberts and Eva May Lancaster Roberts and was the wife of Wayne E. Bulson.
Sharon received her music education at the Concord College in Athens, W.Va. and also attended Central Virginia Community College. She was a secretary for the Louisville Orchestra, The Education Coordinator for the Richmond Symphony and was a member and organist for Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church. She also taught music for the Amherst County Public School System. Sharon also loved to teach music to her students in the Lynchburg City School System. She was also an Instructional Technology Specialist for the Lynchburg City School System.
In addition to her husband, Wayne, she is survived by a son, Christopher Wayne Bulson of Lynchburg. Two brothers, Curtis Dwight Roberts and his wife, Patricia of Lynchburg and Daniel Creed Roberts of Raleigh, N.C. Two sisters, Janice Lee Roberts Lane of Chesterfield and Charlotte Marie Roberts Lamonds and her husband, Fred of Lynchburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Elaine Roberts and a brother-in-law, Barry Edward Lane.
A Celebration of Sharon's Life and Faith will be held 12 noon Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Land officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at the church.
