GREEN VALLEY —
Martha C. Runyon, 101, of the Loving Hands Adult Care in Green Valley, formerly of Princeton, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at her residence. Born May 4, 1911 in Marion, Va., she was the daughter of the late Guy Eastridge and Rose Taylor Eastridge.
Martha was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Princeton. She enjoyed reading her Bible and working puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Runyon; one daughter, Peggy Rose Bridges; one son, Bobby Morris Runyon; and six brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include one son, Bruce Allen Runyon and wife Sue of Bluewell; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Runyon of Bristol, Tenn.; and the loving staff and friends at Loving Hands Adult Care.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Lyle Mullins officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Wednesday.
