CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. —
Charles Leon Ross, age 55, formerly of Bluefield, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Christmas morning.
He was born on May 23, 1957 to the late Amos McCoy Ross Sr. and Dorothy Lenora Ross Martin.
Charles was educated in Mercer county public schools. He attended Bluefield State college.
Charles was employed at O'Charley's and Wendys in Christiansburg, Va.
Charles was a very outspoken person. He would give you his last. He loved his children and family unconditionally.
Charles is preceded in death by his father and mother, and stepfather Clarence Martin.
Left to cherish his memories are his two children and his two step-children, Charles Leon Ross II, and Georgie Lenora Ross of Bluefield and Jason and Michelle Daily; seven sisters, Linda (Bruce) Brown of Bluefield, Patricia Shaw of Premier, Peggy Hudson, Audrey Mitchell, Shelby (George) Smalls, Beverly (Quentin) Crenshaw and Leslie Martin of Bluefield; one brother, Amos McCoy Ross Jr. of Bluefield; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.
A memorial service will be privately held by family members and close friends on Friday, Jan. 4 2013 at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, Bluefield WV. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
