BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Kathryn Vernon Pardue, 91, of 140 Penn St., Bluefield, Va., died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
She was born in McDowell County, Faraday, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late James Edward Vernon and Minnie Rudisill Vernon.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bluefield, Va., 70-year member of the Order of Eastern Star #102, where she was past Worthy Matron and was a member of the Macedonia Shrin #8, where she was past Worthy Priestist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raleight Pardue; son, Eddy Pardue; and by eight brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by sons, Roger Pardue and wife Anna of North Tazewell, Va., and Gary Pardue and wife Harriett of Bluefield, Va.; granddaughters, Karon Ann Pardue, Daphne Renea Pardue and Mary Elizabeth Pardue.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Brad Scott officiating. Memorial services will also be conducted by the O.E.S. #102. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steve Stephenson, Don Dye, Frank Belcher, Terry Lampert, John Kanaus and Mike O’Connell.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home.
Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. is serving the Kathryn Vernon Pardue family.
