ROANOKE, Va —
Eternal rest came during the early morning hours on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, for Blanche Lee Faucett Price. She was born May 18, 1918, to the late Jehugh Faucett and Elizabeth Hairston Faucett in Jenkinjones, W.Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Price Jr. and 13 siblings.
Ms. Price known as "Auntie" came from a God fearing Christian home and was taught to treat everyone the same; therefore, no one was a stranger to her and she lived by that credo. As a true believer she lived by faith. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army and lived a full life with diverse talents. Her talents included being a nurse, a beautician, a seamstress, a bowler, a cook and baker. Everything she put her hands to was done in excellence. She also liked to travel; her last trip was to Phoenix, Ariz. for a family reunion in July of this year.
Memories of her will be in the hearts of her sister, Johneva Bailey (Roger), of Chicago, Ill.; her sister-in-law, Mineola Faucett, of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012, at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Bluefield, W.Va. at 12 noon with viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Bluewell, W.Va.
