HERNANDO, Fla. —
Kathleen Gillespie, age 83, of Hernando, Fla., died November 14, 2012 surrounded by her loving family and Hospice of Citrus County. Kathleen was born on October 24, 1929 in Jenkinjones, W.Va. to the late Henry and Bessie Culbertson.
She was employed by Publix Supermarkets as a cashier. Kathleen enjoyed being with her family, reading, cooking, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed birdwatching and especially loved her hummingbirds.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, George William (Marjorie) Gillespie, McKeesport, Pa., James Lewis (Barbara) Gillespie, Savannah, Ga., Brian Thomas Gillespie, Coral Springs, Fla.; daughters, Karen Lynn (Larry) Collier, Hernando, Fla. and Lisa Michele (Dennis) Freemyer, Davie, Fla.; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Culbertson.
The family requests donations in Kathleen's memory to either Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, Fl or American Breast Cancer Society.
Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
