BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Betty Jane Webb Harmon, 84, of 2020 Moore St., Bluefield, Va., died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at Westwood Health Care Center after a long illness. She was born in Tazewell County, Va., and was a daughter of the late Thomas Cleveland Webb and Hallie Bell Pruett Webb.
She was a member of the Graham Christian Church in Bluefield, Va. and retired from Aratex Uniform Company after many years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Clinton Harmon; son-in-law, Jeffrey Pierce Hayes; sisters, Barbara Webb Moody, Marie Webb Ruble, Irene Webb Hodge, Cleo Webb O'Brian; and by brothers, Milton Randolph Webb and June Webb.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Harmon Hale and husband, Jim, of Falls Mills, Va., Cathy Harmon Hayes of Bluefield, Va., Betty June Harmon of Bluefield, Va.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Beth) Hale of Indianapolis, Ind., Ben Hayes and wife, Lacey, of Tazewell, Va.; sisters, Peggy Webb Hoops of Boissevain, Va., and Shirley Webb Medley of Ocala, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with Minister John Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ben Hayes, Bob Clendenin, Jimmy Harry, Don Dye, Larry Durham and Roger Perdue.
Friends may visit with the family today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231-4596.
