RICHLANDS, Va. —
Mrs. Nancy McCracken Anderson, age 61, of Richlands, Va., passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 in a Richlands, Va. hospital following a brief illness. Born in Richlands, Va. and raised in Jewell Ridge, Va., she was the daughter of Cora McCracken of Richlands, Va. and the late Palmer McCracken.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jenny Kestner and Connie Sue McCracken; one brother, Jim McCracken.
Nancy was an employee of Mattie Williams Hospital and Clinch Valley Physicians in the office of Dr. Timothy Presnell for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Darrell Anderson; one daughter, Tonya Hurt and husband Jamie of Richlands, Va.; stepdaughter, Cheryl Robinson and husband Bruce of Kentucky.; stepson, Rodney Anderson and wife Gwen of Harman, Va.; mother, Cora McCracken of Richlands, Va.; three brothers, Joe McCracken and wife Sandra, Jeff McCracken and wife Guyetta and John McCracken; one sister, Mary Pruett of Richlands, Va.; sister-in-law, Linda Coleman of Bristol, Va.; mother-in-law, Belle Anderson of Bristol, Va.; special aunt and uncle Mary and Don Billings of Kingsport, Tenn.; special friends, Dr. Timothy Presnell and Staff of The Clinic of Claypool Hill, Va. and Sandra Lowe of Jewell Ridge, Va.; five grandchildren, Lindsey Lester, Dalton Hurt, Joshua Robinson, Kirsten Boyd and Ryder Anderson; many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy McCracken Anderson will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, Va. with the Rev. Malcolm Stewart Officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be Linkous Horn, Gordon Russ, Rod Anderson, Bruce Robinson, Tommy Messer, Harvey Coleman, Eddie Smith and Joshua Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Timothy Presnell and Dr. Dowell Mullins.
