NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. —
Levi Blevins, 77, of 342 Dewberry Rd., N. Tazewell, Va., died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at the home of his nephew in Bandy, Va.
He was born in Rockridge, W.Va. and was a son of the late Charlie Blevins and Laura Collins Blevins.
He was a former employee at the Earl Elam Service Station and had worked in the Deep Mines at #14 Gary. He attended church at the Mudfork Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Blevins and Herd Blevins and by a sister, Ocie Johnson.
Survivors include nieces and nephews: Leonard Stiltner and his wife Irene of Bandy with whom he made his home, Jacob Johnson and wife Diane of Newhall, W.Va., Jessie Johnson of Atwell, W.Va., Carl Johnson of Coalwood, W.Va., Mary McCoy of Iaegar, W.Va., Edna Nipper of War, W.Va., Norma Jean Marshall and husband Jeff of Panther, W.Va., Denver Blevins of Bradshaw, W.Va.; several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with Pastor Kathy Hagerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. is serving the Blevins family.
