NEWHALL —
Eric Shane Williamson, age 37, of Newhall, W.Va., died Friday, February 15, 2013 at his mother's home in Bluefield, W.Va. He was born April 3, 1975 in Richlands, Va. and was the son of Lucy Darlene Williamson of Bluefield, W.Va. and the late Kerry Michael “Mike” Williamson.
He was an Honors Graduate of Manchester High School at Midlothian, Va. Eric was a caring and benevolent individual who always had the well being of the less fortunate on his heart. He was a fan of NASCAR and West Virginia Mountaineer football. A hard worker until becoming disabled, Eric was well thought of in his community and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his biological father, Randall Jones; Ambrose Brewster, his maternal grandfather who loved him like a son; three uncles, Michael Brewster, Eddie Williamson, and Bill Williamson; biological paternal grandparents, Ed and Leburn Queen; paternal grandparents, Dock and Louise Williamson.
In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memories include his special mom-maw who loved him as her own dear son, Frieda Brewster of Newhall, W.Va., with whom he made his home; one sister, Tanya Michelle Williamson and companion, Eddie McDaniel of Winchester, Va.; nieces, Jaida and Amari Logan, and a niece due to be born in July, 2013 - Rylee; aunts, Tammy Altizer, who loved him as her son, and her companion, Rick Hall of North Tazewell, Va. and Yvonne Brewster of Florida; aunt and uncle, Shelba and Jim Alicie of Cedar Bluff, Va.; uncle, David Brewster and wife, Leah of Inman, S.C.; his faithful companion and dog, Sunny; a host of cousins, other family members and friends also survive.
In honoring his wishes, Eric's body will be cremated and there will be no funeral service.
