SPEEDWAY —
Dolly Angela Serreno Baldwin of Whiteoak Creek Road, Speedway, died suddenly Thursday morning, February 14, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Kimball, and was the daughter of the late William F. Serreno and Santina Sinicrope Serreno.
Dolly was a graduate of Welch High School, received her BS degree in Education from Concord College in Athens, earned her Master's Degree in Education from West Virginia University and earned her Doctorate at Virginia Tech in Education.

Dolly retired from the education system in 1997 after 30 years of teaching at Bluefield State College. While at BSC, she established the Read Aloud program in Mercer County, and assisted in training students in becoming school teachers throughout the region.
Dolly was a very active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Harrison Street in Princeton, where she served in the capacity of a Eucharistic minister, and held various offices and served in many capacities within the church. Dolly loved to shop, enjoyed cooking, traveling, and will be remembered for her beautiful smile that she always wore. She was also a very giving person; not only to her family but to anyone she met.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brother: Tony, Johnny, Frank, Patsy and Sammy Serreno, along with three sisters: Pauline Staten, Dora Beauchamp, and Antoinette “Kitty” Cline.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Donald R Baldwin; one son and his wife, John and Sonya Baldwin of Speedway, two grandchildren, Anthony Baldwin and Scott Thompson, and a stepson, Evan Baldwin of Daytona Beach, Florida. Her only remaining sibling, her brother, Joe Serreno and wife Louise of Cedar Bluff, Virginia. Dolly had a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly.
