Oralee Crewey
FALLS MILLS, Va. — Oralee Crewey, 73, of Falls Mills, Va., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in Moneta, Va. Born in Kodak, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Green and Ophie Colwell. She was employed by the Nash-Finch Company of Falls Mills, Va., where she retired. Oralee was a member of the Church of Christ in Hazard, Ky., and was known for her beautiful voice and playing the guitar. She also enjoyed painting as a hobby.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Adam, Brady and James Colwell and five sisters, Ema, Edna, Bell, Marjorie and Lorene Crewey.
Survivors include two sons, Dwayne Crewey and wife Susan, of Moneta, Va., and Danny Ray Crewey and wife Rita, of Falls Mills, Va.; one sister Irene Turner, of Ohio; brother-in-law, Donald Crewey of Falls Mills, Va.; three grandchildren, Lane Douglas Crewey, of Beckley, W.Va., Michael Scott Crewey, of Beckley, W.Va., and Jennifer Buzzo and husband Jason, of Moneta, Va.; one great-granddaughter, Madalyn Gillespie, of Moneta, Va.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va., with the Pastor Franklin Leach officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Friends may call Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Va. Pallbearers will be Bill Hall, Steve Mayo, David Crewey, Michael Crewey, Jason Gillespie and Timmy Long.
