BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Samuel A. Graham, 81, of 6980 Abb's Valley Road, Bluefield, Va., passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W.Va. Born February 11, 1932 in Filbert, W.Va., he was the son of the late Samuel A. Graham Sr. and Cosby Baker Graham.
He was a member of the Christ First United Methodist Church in Abb's Valley, Va. and a member of the UMWA. Sam retired from US Steel Gary #14 of Gary, W.Va. where he was employed as a Shuttle Car Operator.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five sisters, Virginia, Maggie, Grace, Pansy and Mallie.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Frances Irene Graham of the home; one daughter, Annita Graham of the home; one brother, Clyde Graham of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Edna Eastman and husband Frank of Richmond, Va.; and also his beloved cat Buttercup.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christ First United Methodist Church in Abb's Valley, Va. with the Rev. Carlos Hess and the Rev. Reginald Blakewood officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Friends may call Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Christ First United Methodist Church in Abb's Valley, VA from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ol' Geezers.
