RICHLANDS, Va. —
Virginia Carolyne Claypool, age 65, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia and was the daughter the late Iven A. and Virginia L. Russell Cordle of Tazewell County, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of the Richlands and Cedar Bluff area. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
Those that survive her are: Her loving husband, Harvey George Claypool Jr.; one foster sister: Brenda Horn and husband, Roy of Baptist Valley, Virginia; two brothers: John David Cordle of Salem, Virginia and Iven A. Cordle Jr. of Cedar Bluff, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Wanda Stanton, Lakie Edwards, Bonnie Cook, Ramey Automotive and Burger King of Richlands, Virginia for their kindness.
Graveside services for Virginia Carolyne Claypool will be conducted Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia with the Rev. Adam Cordle officiating. Interment will follow. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home, 1401 Second Street, Richlands, Virginia 24641.
