Carolyn Cook, age 67, of Bluefield, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her residence.
Born on September 3, 1945 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Charles Blake and Georgia Mae Meadwell Farley. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 24 years and was a former cashier at Go-Mart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy F. Cook; son, Billy F. Cook Jr.; stepmother, Louise Farley; stepsisters, Vicky Carver and Vada Cook.
Survivors include: Two daughters: Rose Brummett and husband Tim of Bluewell, Jean Cook and fiancé Jim Garrett of Green Valley; two brothers: Roy Farley of Bluefield, Charles Farley Jr. of Roseboro, N.C.; stepbrother: Ronnie Cook of McComas; four sisters: Pat Zabarsky of Strongville, Ohio, Shelby Nichols of Bluewell, Mary Cleveland and husband Bill of Massillon, Ohio, Judy Soto and husband Mario of South Gate, Calif.; stepsister: Debbie Copley and husband Dave of Bluefield; grandchildren: Dean Brummett, Jacob Brummett, David Bennett II, Jennifier Bennett; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Rev. Larry Dyer officiating.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
