PRINCETON —
Dennis Dale Dinkins, 56, of 121 Union Drive in Princeton, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at his residence. Born March 19, 1955 in Welch, he was the son of the late Joseph Dinkins Jr. and Bernice Mitchem Dinkins. Dennis was a former mining foreman with Permac Mapco Coal Company in Grundy, Va. and had been a lifelong resident of this area. In addition to his parents, one grandson, Richard Douglas Dinkins; and two brothers, Marc Steven Dinkins and Richard Lee “Rick” Dinkins preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Sue Peery Dinkins of Princeton; four children, April McPherson and husband Timmy of Princeton, Samantha Jo Dinkins and fiancé Josh Davis, Austin Tyler Dinkins, and Jasmine Nicole Dinkins, all of the home; two grandchildren, Haylie Renee McPherson and Jordan Paige McPherson, both of Princeton; one brother, Chris Dinkins and wife Kim of Princeton; one sister, Kim Dinkins Cecil and husband Dan of Winfield, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Beth Dinkins of Princeton; two nieces; two nephews; father-in-law, Thurman Eugene Peery of Bluefield; and mother-in-law, Omma Mae White Peery of Bluefield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Danny Gunnoe officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday.
