PRINCETON —
Joe Ann Stanley, 76, of Princeton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born November 6, 1936 in Lashmeet, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Riley Sanders and Clara Mae Dunn Sanders.
She was a charter member of Liberty Baptist Church in Princeton where she was the custodian since the church began. She was a former employee of Maidenform in Princeton. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary E. Stanley; two brothers, Roger Sanders and Jerry Sanders.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Jerry Stanley Sr.; one son, Jerry Stanley Jr.; two daughters, Lisa Wallace and Karen Stanley and one special grandson, Michael Stanley, all of Princeton; two brothers, Russell D. Sanders and wife Judy of Fincastle, Va. and Wayne Sanders and wife Louise of Princeton and one sister, Barbara McKenzie of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel with Pastor Greg Kinzer officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 260 Windy Hill Drive, Princeton, WV 24739 for Ladies of Liberty.
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
