Clara Evelene Nunn
BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Clara Evelene Nunn, 82 of Bluefield, W.Va., died Saturday March 9, 2013 at Westwood Center in Bluefield, Va. Born August 27, 1930 she was a daughter of the late Rader S. and Ollie Compton Ballard.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Bluefield where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and she read her bible everyday. She loved gardening and writing poetry about her family and her many friends and she loved cooking for everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Samuel Harrison Nunn; one brother, Basil Ballard; sister, Elsie Beasley and a daughter-in law-Charlotte Nunn.
Surviving Mrs. Nunn are four sons; Donnie Nunn and wife Margaret of Bluefield, Va., Ronnie Nunn and wife Kitty of Bluefield, Va., Tommy Nunn of Bluefield, W.Va., and Michael Nunn and wife Cindy of Bluefield, W.Va.; grandchildren, Kim Reece and husband Mike, Shawn Nunn and wife Dee, Dawn Farley and husband Chris and Corey Nunn and wife Brittany; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Reece, Chase Reece and Caitlyn Farley, sisters, Louella Barrett of Bluefield, W.Va., and a sister-in law, Elizabeth Ballard.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nunn will be conducted Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. from Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Jakes officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
