NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. —
Betty Sue McReynolds Pruett, age 74, of North Tazewell, Va., died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, Va. Born December 19, 1938 at Bishop, Va., she was a daughter of the late James T. and Mattie Ruth Hileman McReynolds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmert Jack Pruett; two brothers, James Donald McReynolds and David Daniel McReynolds.
She was a longtime employee of Tazewell County Department of Social Services, retiring several years ago.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Vencill and husband, Raymond of North Tazewell, Va.; three brothers, Kenneth Glenn McReynolds, Paul Allen McReynolds and wife, Shirley all of North Tazewell, Va., and Patrick Ray McReynolds and wife, Pam of Lynchburg, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with Jason Snapp officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Pallbearers will be Carl Davis Jr. Luke McDougald, Robert Etter, Robert Dawson, and Raymond Vencill.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
