William B. “Bill” Murrell
GARY — William B. “Bill” Murrell age 30, of Gary, W.Va., departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., following a short illness.
He was born February 12, 1984 in Bluefield, W.Va., and the son of Ronald Dalton Sr. and Priscilla Murrell of Gary. He attended public schools in Mercer County and was a graduate of Mount View High School Class of 2001. He attended Bluefield State College and played semi-pro football in Bluefield. He was a member of the former Almost Heaven Church of our Lord Jesus Christ in Gary and had attended both Rock Hill Missionary Baptist in Gary and Miracle Mt. Carmel Church in Kimball, W.Va. Bill lived and worked in Atlanta, Ga., where he was employed at GET Industries as a pipe layer and returned home where he was a partner with Bill & Phil’s Construction in Gary. He enjoyed sports, coached the Gary Steelers and restored old cars.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, four uncles and two aunts.
In addition to his father, Ronald Sr. and his mother, Priscilla, he is survived and will be sadly missed by his four siblings, Jamie Murrell, 1 Starr Dalton, Ronald Dalton Jr., and Latosha Murrell; a host of uncles, aunts, six nephews and nieces; several cousins and Antoinette Harvey whom he regarded as his daughter of Gary, W.Va.; his special friends, the Blair family of N.C., and numerous other friends.
Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Miracle Mt. Carmel Holiness Church of God in Kimball, W.Va.. with the Rev. Tony Wilson officiating.
Family and friends will serve as both pallbearers and flower bearers.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., until time of Service on Saturday at the Church.
Services entrusted to Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch.
