RICHLANDS, Va. —
Mr. Noel Stallard, age 78, of Richlands, Va., passed away, Saturday, June 30, 2012 following an extended illness. Born at Jewell Ridge, Va. he was the son of the late Allison and Lora Belle Kilgore Stallard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger B. Stallard; and one granddaughter, Heather Stallard.
Mr. Stallard was a 1951 Graduate of Richlands High School. He was retired from Jewell Ridge Coal Company and Pittston Coal Company with 48 years of service. He was a 50 year member of the Richlands Masonic Lodge # 318, the Richlands Order of the Eastern Star # 104, Kazim Shrine Temple at Roanoke, Va. and the Scottish Rite at Roanoke, Va. He was a Charter member of Gethsemane Baptist Church at Richlands, Va.
Mr. Stallard is survived by his loving wife of 59 Years Betty Williams-Stallard; one daughter, Tina S. Gilbert and husband, Chris of Vinton, Va.; three sons, Michael Stallard of Pa.; Greg Stallard and wife, Tammy of Piney Flats, Tenn., and Jeff Stallard of Honaker, Va.; four grandchildren, Melissa Stallard-Navallo; Megan S. Hudson, Devyn Mullins and Grant Gilbert; four great-grandchildren, Jude Stallard-Navallo; Anna Hudson, Sara Hudson and Hunter Hudson.
Funeral services for Mr. Noel Stallard will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, Va. with the Rev. Marc Brooks and Mr. Don Meadows officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be Jeff Stallard, Greg Stallard, Chris Gilbert, Devyn Mullins, Don Meadows and Ronald Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Grant Gilbert, Scott Harman, Jude Stallard-Navallo and Hunter Hudson.
The family will receive friends at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, Va. from 6-9 p.m., Monday with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
