Anne Carroll Bailey
PRINCETON — Anne Carroll Bailey, 85, of Glenwood Park Retirement Village in Princeton, a former resident of 1114 Harrison St., died Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at her residence.
Born in Beaver Meadows, Pa., March 9, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Homa. Anne retired from nursing having worked as a Dental Assistant of Doctors Scott and Richard Lilly, DDS, Bluefield Sanitarium as an EKG Technician and Princeton Community Hospital as a Nurse. After retiring she enjoyed working as a volunteer at Princeton Community Hospital. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton since moving here in 1949. She held several offices in the choir, Altar Society, Parish Council, Christian Service Committee, Eucharistic Minister, Prayer Circle, National Council of Catholic Women, Bereavement Committee, Catholic Community Services and taught CCD classes. She was also a member of the Women of The Moose, Association for Dental Assistants, Home Extension, Garden Club, Quota Club and AARP.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Arnold “Tooty” Bailey; one brother, John Homa Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Holdren and Margaret Homa preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, John Wayne Bailey and his wife Cecelia Kay of Princeton; one daughter, Saundra Lee Groves and her husband Dr. David L. Groves of Bowling Green, Ohio; five grandchildren, Christopher Groves and his companion Helen, Andrea Chapman and her husband, Dr. Richard Chapman, Anthony Groves and his wife Alisa all of Bowling Green, Ohio, Captain Amanda H. Walls, DO, USAF and her husband Michael of Altoona, Pa. and Lynn Rappolt and her husband Lee of Athens; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Swankoski and her husband Walter of Freeland, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Princeton with Father Manny Geliedo as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Charlie Mirabile, Charles Pace, Anthony Groves, Chris Groves, Zakary Groves and Michael Walls.

William Douglas Barger
PRINCETON — William Douglas “Doug” Barger, 51, of 115 Douglas St. in Princeton, died Monday, December 31, 2007, at his residence.
Born in Princeton, June 13, 1956, he was the son of the late Douglas and Mamie Joyce Blevins Barger. Doug was the owner and operator of Barger Gun Shop in Princeton before his health failed. He was a graduate of Princeton High School and attended Bluefield College. He was an avid gun enthusiast and made many friends through the years who will miss his pleasant demeanor and his knowledge of firearms.
Survivors include his wife, Denise “Tracie” Rostin Barger of Princeton; two stepdaughters, Ashleigh Raven Rebecca Rostin of Bluefield and Casandra “Cassie” Blake of Princeton.
In keeping with his wishes, the body has been cremated. Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in Oakwood Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 1:00 p.m. to the service hour on Saturday.

Lewis Eugene “Gene” Campbell
BOZOO — Lewis Eugene “Gene” Campbell, 83, of Bozoo, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem, Va.
Born August 31, 1924, he was the son of the late Charlie and Mamie Goodall Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a lifelong member of the Bozoo Christian Church, he was a graduate of Peterstown High School, he was co-owner with his wife Gretis for 51 years of Bozoo Merchantile Company, he served as Postmaster at Bozoo for 45 years, he served as a director for over 50 years at the First National Bank of Peterstown, he was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran and a charter member of the Bozoo Ruritan Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Gretis Echols Campbell; and a dear sister, Anna Lee Campbell Shumate. Survivors include one son, Lewis Eugene Campbell Jr. and wife Sue of Richmond, Va.; three granddaughters: Andrea Hubbard and husband Daniel of Baltimore, Md., Cara Campbell of Williamsburg, Va., MacKenzie Campbell of Richmond, Va.; four nephews: Larry, Bobby, Darrell Echols, George Ronald Shumate; and one niece, Darlene Cathcart.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Broyles-Shrewsbury Chapel with Minister Dewey Conley and Barry Harper officiating. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday (today), January 4, 2008. Burial will follow at the Peterstown Cemetery.

PRINCETON — Patricia Ann Coburn, 56, of 400 Kirk St., Princeton, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born May 24, 1951 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Richard Lee Brown of Green Valley and the late Pansy Mae Hill Brown. She attended the Liberty Baptist Church in Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School.
Survivors include her husband, David S. Coburn of Princeton; two sons, Samuel Coburn and Shawn Coburn and his wife Christine all of Princeton; five grandchildren, Rebekkah Coburn, Robert Coburn, Diana Hammonds, Tyra Coburn and Logan Coburn; one sister, Sharon Sue Matherly and her husband Roger of Trinity, N.C.; and two brothers, Richard Darrell Brown and his wife Carolyn of Princeton and Dwight David Brown of Trinity, N.C.

Ethel Leola Combs
BLUEFIELD — Ethel Leola Combs, 82, of 1312 Stadium Drive, Bluefield, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at her residence.
Born May 31, 1925 in Tazewell County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Bailey Fox and Mintie Hash Fox. She was a Nursing Assistant at Mercer County Health Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Combs, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Jean Pullano and her husband Joe of Bluefield; two sons, Clarence Wilson Combs of Bluefield and Barry Lynn Combs and his wife Trina of Lampassas, Texas; one sister, Evelyn Farmer of Keystone; six grandchildren, John W. Combs, Aaron W. Combs, Gina M. Pullano, Travis T. Combs, Brandon B. Combs and Michlene Love; and three great-grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Combs will be cremated and there will be no services.

Victoria Amnesia “Amelia” Del Signore
CUMBERLAND, Md. — Victoria Amnesia “Amelia” Del Signore, 89, of Potomac Park, Cumberland, went to be with her husband Lucin Sunday, December 30, 2007, at the WMHS-Braddock Campus.
Born July 30, 1918, in Westernport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Porziella) Centofonti. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lucin Del Signore; four sisters, Frances Centofonti, Lucy Centofonti, Conchetta “Connie” Centofonti, and Mary Centofonti; and four brothers, Vineenzio “James” Centofonti, Joseph Centofonti, Nicholas Centofonti, and infant brother Victor.
Mrs. Del Signore along with her husband, Lucin, whom she married October 26, 1946, formerly owned The Corner Restaurant in Beckley, and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She loved to cook and enjoyed her family and helping friends.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown on Thursday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. James Kurtz, O.F.M., Cap. as celebrant.
A graveside and interment services will be held at the Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, Bluefield, on Saturday January 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Paul Wharton officiating. Those wishing to attend graveside services are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10 a.m.

James Scott Herndon
ABINGDON, Va. — James Scott Herndon, of 19194 Mercedes Drive, Abingdon, fondly known as Scott; father of 11-year old ballerina extraordinaire and light of his life, Ellisen Emille, and son of Nancy and Charlie Herndon, unexpectedly passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at the tender age of 40 years.
Scott not only left behind his devoted parents and daughter, but his beloved younger brothers, Jason Todd Herndon and wife Angela of High Point, N.C., and Jeffry Stowe Herndon of Abingdon.
Born June 30, 1967 in Abingdon; Scott spent most his “growing up years” in Bluefield, WV. A graduate of Bluefield High School, Class of ’85; he went on to attend West Virginia University for a period of time after which he served honorably as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he went on to obtain degrees in marketing and business administration from Bluefield State College; and a degree in administration healthcare from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; after which he pursued a successful career in long term health care administration.
Scott’s survivors include: Maternal Grandfather, J.W. Holbrook and wife Ima Jean of Bluefield, Va.; aunts and uncles: Linda and L. D. Montgomery of Nicholasville, Ky., Terry and Martin Wehnau of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Jayme and Louis Carter of Princeton, WV; niece, Madison Shea Herndon of High Point, N.C.; and cousins: Matt and Nicole Montgomery of Lexington, Ky., Mark and Erin Montgomery of Mechanicsville, Va., Melinda and Carl Johnson of Cookeville, Tenn., Kimberly and Jeff Hewson of Palm City, Fla., Amy McGehe of West Palm Beach, Fla., Lou Carter III of Princeton, WV, Ainsleigh and Lawson Montgomery of Mechanicsville, Va., Ashley Hewson of Palm City, Fla., and Kyle and Zachary McGehe of West Palm Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his cousin, Kevin McGehe; maternal grandmother, Elinor H. Holbrook, and paternal grandparents, Charlie S. and Vivian V. Herndon.
Friends and family will always remember Scott’s endless smile, his dry wit, which constantly bubbled forth, his thirst for knowledge, fierce drive, and determination. An avid sportsman, Scott was as much at home casting a line for a bass or trout as he was swinging a nine iron for birdie. Those who knew him best knew he was a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds and West Virginia Mountaineers. Most would also be familiar with his widespread fondness for all his facility residents, his surprising culinary skills, and insatiable interest in ornithology.

WELCH — Kenneth Hiatt, age 79, of Welch, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Charleston Area Medical Center. Born July 5, 1928, in Hemphill, he was the son of the late Lee and Nora McDowell Hiatt.
He was a resident of Welch the greater part of his life. He was of the Methodist faith. He has a private, commercial and instructor flying rating, he was a member of the AOPA and antique pilots association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, during the Korean War and he was a member of the VFW. He was a quiet man, a lover of animals, he loved his little cat family of mostly abused animals. He was the best of a husband, who treasured his friends, and gave generously to those in need. Flying and motorcycling were the loves of his life.
Preceded in death by, in addition to his parents: One brother, Wencel Hiatt; stepmother, Sara Broomfield Hiatt; and a stepbrother, Tommy Broomfield.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Eva Moore Hiatt of Welch; brother-in-law, James R. Moore and wife Eleanor of Hemphill; cousin, Sondra Lee and husband Jesse Ray and family of Sophia; cousin, Ramona A. Larry Donald McKinney
MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Larry Donald McKinney, of Teeter Road, Mooresville, N.C., passed away at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., on December 31, 2007. He was called home to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 47.
Larry was born in Tampa, Fla., on April 18, 1960. Survivors in addition to his parents, Michael and Margaret McKinney, are his daughter, Katie McKinney, of Mooresville, N.C.; his brothers, Kermit McKinney and his wife, Charlene, of Herndon, Barry McKinney and his wife, Lila, of Mooresville, N.C., and Jackie McKinney and his fiancée, Rhonda, of Smyrna, N.Y.; and a sister, Sharon Flowers and her husband, John, of Statesville, N.C.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael “Mikey” McKinney.

Howard E. “Bo Peep” Mitchell
TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — Howard E. "Bo Peep" Mitchell, 60, of Taylorsville, N.C., died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Catawba Valley Medical Center after a period of declining health. He was surrounded by his wife of 39 years and his family.
He was born August 24, 1947 in Marytown to Lillie Virginia Mitchell Graham of Bluefield and the late Fred E. Mitchell. He worked in the coal mines of McDowell County for 20 years. Later he worked for the McDowell County Board of Education. He was a member of Local Union 6023. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Donald Tolley; a brother, Freddie Mitchell and stepfather, Harry Graham.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Patsy Breeden Mitchell, of the home; two daughters, Samantha Shoun and husband, Barry, of Claremont, N.C., Jenny Johnson of Conover, N.C.; two sons, Howard E. Mitchell Jr. and wife, Michelle and Christopher J. Mitchell and wife, Samantha all of Conover, N.C.; five grandsons, Thomas Shoun, Robert Johnson Jr., Brandon Mitchell, Brandon Tallent and Joshua Tallent and a granddaughter, Faith Ball; two brothers, Lewis Mitchell of Kimball and Jesse Mitchell and wife, Debbie, of Princeton; five sisters, Jean Hurley of Princeton, Shirley Jarrett of Sevierville, Tenn., Gracie Burks and husband, Fairley of Princeton, Nancy Humerick of Knoxville, Tenn. and Ethel Adams and husband, Pat, of Bluefield; several nieces and nephews; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rick and Maxine Johnson of Anawalt.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church by the Revs. Stephen Dagenhart and Jim Bowman. Burial will be in Catawba Memorial Park.
The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour.

William B. Patterson “Noonie”
BLUEFIELD — William B. Patterson "Noonie", 39, of Bluefield, went home to be the Lord on Friday, December 28, 2007.
Born July 16, 1968, he was the son of Virginia "Ms. Gin" Willis and the late Harry L. Willis of Bluefield. Noonie was a 1986 graduate of Bluefield High School after graduation he attended Bluefield State College. He was currently residing in Charlotte, N.C., where he was recently employed with Shred-It Industries. Noonie leaves behind a very big hole in all of our hearts that we will never be able to fill. But we will take comfort in knowing that his loving free spirit is flying with the angels now. He is already deeply missed by all of us who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Stephanie A. Patterson of Bluefield; his beautiful daughters, Jasmine C. Patterson of Morganton, N.C., Maya T. Patterson, Jaia L. Patterson and Tyra S. Billy Howell (Bill) Rasnake
PAINTLICK, Va. — Billy Howell (Bill) Rasnake, age 69, of Paintlick, Va., passed away, Tuesday, January 1, 2008.
Born March 28, 1938 in Tazewell, County, Va., he was the son of the late Buford Howell and Tina Mae Osborne Rasnake. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Bill was a retired coal miner with Pittston Coal Co. and an independent coal operator with a total of 43 years service. He was a member of UMWA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Mike Rasnake; and one brother, Roy Rasnake.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Rasnake of Richlands and Matt Rasnake of Alexandria, Va. and long time companion Lois Spangler of Richlands, Va.; two brothers, Larry David Rasnake of Paintlick and Kenneth Rasnake of Richlands; five sisters, Mrs. Dalton (Geneva) Bumgardner of Richlands, Mrs. Homer (Joan) Cole of Bearwallow, Mrs. Danny (Judy) Branch of Dublin, Ms. Jerrie Alley of Cedar Bluff and Mrs. Betty L. Reynolds of Paintlick; two grandsons, Chad Rasnake and Brandon Rasnake both of Richlands; several nieces and nephews also survive.

James Marvin Rogers
MONTCALM — James Marvin Rogers, age 74, of P.O. Box 493 (McComas), Montcalm, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at his residence.
Born on September 19, 1933 in McComas, he was a son of the late John O. and Virginia Belle Gills Rogers. He had been a lifelong resident of McComas and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was a retired coal miner, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include: Four sisters: Juanita Rogers of McComas, Mildred Purdy of Sneedville, Tenn., Hazel Rogers of McComas, Elsie Pergeau of Hazel Park, Mich.; one brother: Larmer Rogers of McComas; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. Patrick Wheeler officiating. Marie S. Sanders
LASHMEET — Marie S. Sanders, 95, of Mt. Olive Road, Lashmeet, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Cassell's Board and Care in Princeton. Born October 15, 1912 at Rock, she was the daughter of the late George Davidson Shrewsbury and Lathea Shrewsbury Shrewsbury.
Mrs. Sanders was a member of Mt. Olive Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. Many years ago, she had a short career in teaching in a one room school at Cedar Cliff and also Lashmeet. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Sanders in 1994; one brother, Earl Shrewsbury; and three sisters, Dicie Sanders, Euva Hill and Sessie Vaughan.
Survivors include three sons, Talmadge Sanders and his wife Kay of Princeton, Estes Sanders and his wife Barbara of Newport News, Va. and Scottie Sanders and his wife Sherry of Grafton, Va.; one sister, Luna Shrader of Rock; six grandchildren, Michael Sanders and his wife Lisa, Kevin Sanders, Paul Sanders and his wife Laura, David Sanders, Tina Birmingham and her husband Dave and Teresa Hicks and her husband Jody; 11 great-grandchildren, Shawn Diaz, Aaron Sanders, Nick Sanders, Collin Sanders, Jamie Kazelesky and her husband Sean, Heidi Newell, Kimberly Birmingham, Shannon Birmingham, Michael Hicks, Cody Birmingham and Gary Newell ; two great, great-grandchildren, Bryce and Tyler Kazelesky; and two nephews, Richard Hill and Delmas Sanders.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Friday (today), January 4, 2008 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Revs. Paul Hall and Randolph Dishner officiating.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:45 p.m.

Ralph E. “Gene” Shupe Jr.
BLUEFIELD — Ralph E. “Gene” Shupe Jr., 69, of 535 Oakhurst Avenue, Bluefield, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at his residence.
Born January 10, 1938 in Bluefield, he was the son of Eleanor M. Litton and the late Ralph E. Shupe Sr. Mr. Shupe was a graduate of Emory & Henry University where he obtained a B.A. degree in History, a graduate of West Virginia University where he received a Master's Degree in Education, and also a graduate of the University of Maryland where he obtained his Master's Degree in Journalism. He was a Guidance Counselor at Andrew Lewis Middle School in Roanoke, a News Reporter for channel seven in Roanoke and was a Realtor in Richmond and Roanoke. Mr. Shupe also appeared in the movies Sommersby and Lincoln.
In addition to his mother, survivors include two sons, Scott Shupe of Los Angeles, Calif. and Chris Shupe and his wife Cheryl of Roanoke, Va. and their children, Connor and Camryn Shupe.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David L. Hall Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Robert Franklin “Pooh-Eye” Smith
BLUEFIELD — Robert Franklin “Pooh-Eye” Smith, 88, of 720 Rockbridge Street, Bluefield, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 in a Princeton hospital.
Born September 14, 1919 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Frank Clyde Smith and Mary Patterson Smith. He played baseball and football for Beaver High School and in 1936 was voted as West Virginia High School athlete of the year. In 1937, he was selected by legendary sportswriter Grantland Rice as one of the 11 players from throughout the country to be named to the national high school football All-American team.
During World War II, he earned several medals as a Technician Fourth Grade in the Military Intelligence Division of the Army.
Mr. Smith retired from the Bluefield, WV Fire Department as a lieutenant. He was a member of the Midway Church of Christ, as well as the Bluefield Elks Lodge and the Bluefield Moose Lodge.
His wife, Mary Ruth Jones Smith; his infant son, Christopher David; four brothers, Wade, Philip, Sam and George Smith; and one sister, Ruth Smith Reid preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Ferguson and her husband Jim of Bluefield and Patricia Wrenn of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren, Brianne Ferguson, Bradley Ferguson and his wife Dawn, Christi Slay and her husband Steve, and Gabriel Wrenn and his wife Liana, and one great-grandchild, Spencer Slay. He is also survived by two nephews, Danny and Brock Smith; a niece, Marilyn Tucker; and a sister-in-law and dear friend, Myra Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. The Mercer County Veteran's Council and the West Virginia Army Honor Guard will perform military graveside rites.

PRINCETON — Edna C. Terry, 75, of the Princeton Health Care Center, formerly of Railroad Avenue in Oakvale, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born May 2, 1932 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Lula Cooper Terry. She retired in 1986 from the Dietary Department of St. Luke's Hospital in Bluefield. She was a member of the Oakvale United Methodist Church and had been a lifelong resident of the Oakvale area.
In addition to her parents, three sisters, Pauline Terry, Joyce Brinkley and Juanita Harry; and three brothers, Wayne Terry, James Terry and John A. Terry Jr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Penny Sue Hubbard of Salisburg, Md.; three brothers, Kirby Terry and wife Margie of Princeton, Jack Terry and wife Evon of Johnson City, Tenn. and William Thomas “Tommy” Terry of Oak Hill; one sister-in-law, Virginia Terry of Athens; and special nephew, Randall Harry of Oakvale.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Friday (today), January 4, 2008 at the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Pastor Bill Crawford officiating. ANNISTON, Ala. — Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Joyce Hinkle Wilson, age 72, of Anniston will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Anniston, Ala. with the Revs. Frankie Umphrey and Dave Hollis officiating. Mrs. Wilson passed away January 2, 2008 at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include husband, Jerry Wilson of Anniston; three sons, Timothy Wilson and special daughter-in-law Nola of Weaver, William Wilson of Birmingham, Ala., and Daniel Wilson of Anniston; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson and wife Connie of Anniston and David Wilson of Weaver; great-grandchildren, Taylor Wilson, Ryan Wilson and Zander Wilson; sisters, Shirleen Melvin (Willis) of Falls Mills, Va., Jo Ellen Caler of Jacksonville, and Bonnie Michael (Neal) of Horton, Ala.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Chris Wilson, William Harris, Randall Colley, Dewayne Foster, Lynn Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of 1st Battalion 2nd Infantry and 2nd Battalion 28th Infantry.
Mrs. Wilson was a native of Bluefield, Va., a former resident of Walnut Grove, and had currently resided in Anniston for the last 27 years. She was Salutatorian of Graham High School class of 1953, a graduate of McLain's Business College 1955, and former office manager of Remington Rand's Bluefield, Va. office. She was of the Methodist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward and Mary Agnes Hinkle; and grandparents, William and Mary Ellen Hinkle, and David and Della Rich.
