BLAND, Va. —
Mary Louise Walker Carroll, 87, of the Mechanicsburg Community, Bland, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Carrington Place, Wytheville.
She was born on November 6, 1925 in Bland County, Va., the daughter of the late Floyd Andrew and Bertie Sarver Walker. Also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Lee Carroll; a daughter, Dorothy Jean Drummond; a son, Floyd Lee Carroll; a grandson, Ward Clifton Pauley; granddaughter, Ashlee Drummond; a great-granddaughter, Bryanna Drummond Taylor; two brothers, William Ferrell Walker and Samuel Gratton Walker; a sister, Shirley Bird.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and Ward Pauley, Bland; Juanita Farlow, Bland; Sheila and Ray Claiborne, Williamsburg; a grandson, Kevin Lee Pauley; a granddaughter, Amy Hinshaw; two great-granddaughters, Brittanie and Sara Rasnick; a step-grandson, Brandon Bailey; beloved family friend, Andy Drummond; a brother, George Walker; a sister, Linda McPeak.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, Va. with the Rev. Tom Maurer officiating. Burial in the Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends during visitation on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
