HENRY, Va. —
Oscar Lee McMillan, age 87, of Henry, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013. He was born January 18, 1926 a son of the late William Hoyt and Agnes Evans McMillan in Goodwill, West Virginia.
Oscar was a loving father, a member of Providence Baptist Church, Veteran of World War II serving in the Philippines and a retired security officer from Hooker Furniture.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ollie McMillan; son, Dexter McMillan; siblings, Lloyd McMillan, Charlotte Owens, Opal Lee and Carlos McMillan.
Surviving are his daughter, Marie Yount; daughter-in-law, Henrietta McMillan; grandchildren, Donald Yount and wife Missy, Daniel Yount, William Moody, Cathy Combs and Jerry Moody; great-grandchild, Kasey L. Yount; special family, Helen Moody, Ray Combs, Robert and Elaine Whitlow Jr.; special friend, Jimmie Sloan.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Thursday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount, Va.
