OREM, Utah —
Linda Beth Halley Cox, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, was reunited with her spouse and her Heavenly Father on January 21, 2013 at the age of 60.
Born to Dorothy and George Halley in Trenton, N.J., Linda was raised in Yardley, Pa. along with her four siblings: Dave Halley, Chris Halley, Sue Whipple and Lisa Littlefield. She attended BYU, during which she met the love of her life, Dan Cox. They were married for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple. Her husband was a career USAF F-4 navigator; this kept her family on the move, as she resided domestically and abroad. She was a fiercely loyal and supportive military spouse who took great pride in the service her husband provided his country.
While Linda earned a Bachelors degree from the University of West Florida in Elementary Education and taught school for several years, her greatest calling in life was that of mother and grandmother. She was blessed with and is survived by her three children: Robert, Katrina and Sarah (Huffaker). Linda loved children and knew how to take good care of, some might say spoil, her eight grandchildren. Always welcoming and loving, she was a second mother to many, making sure that they were cared for, loved and well-fed. Linda had a deep love of music and was a gifted singer, piano player and instructor. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities and most recently as a temple worker and as a nursery worker, her favorite.
She is preceded in death by Dan Cox (husband), Dorothy Hatch (mother) and George Halley (father).
Funeral services were held on Friday, January 25, 2013 in Orem, Utah. A short graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Grandview Cemetery in Bluefield, Va. She will be interred beside her husband.
We love and miss you mom, but know that you and dad are having the ultimate date. Don't embarrass us too much.
