BLUEFIELD —
Marjorie Louise Cozart, 85, of Bluefield, W.Va., died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
Born June 5, 1927 in Hot Coal, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Frank Chapman Bolton and Florence Hinchee Bolton Bailey. Mrs. Cozart was a graduate of Shady Spring High School and earned her teaching credentials at Beckley College. She taught at Acord Mountain School. She attended Pine Grove Baptist Church and Coal Marsh Baptist Church, and she loved her Lord and family. She loved gardening, flowers and canning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Donald Cozart; son, David Cozart; and sister, Toby Redden.
Survivors include her daughter, Evonda Archer and husband Bill of Bluefield; daughter-in-law, Donna Short of Maryland; siblings, Emogene Lilly of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Fred Bailey and wife Maxine of Mississippi, Bill Bailey and wife Betty of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Herbert Bailey and wife Juanita of Maryland, Frank Bailey and wife Joy of Oak Hill, W.Va., and Robert Bailey and wife Alona of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Danny Redden of Beckley; sister-in-law, Virginia Cozart of Virginia; five grandchildren, Dannie Morgan and wife Ann, Kathy Harmony and husband Ebert, Karon Davis and husband Tom, Kevin Cozart and wife Audra, and Kandy Schisler and husband Nicholas; nine great-grandchildren, Seth, Kassia, Tiffany, Eric, Madelyn, Owen, Karissa, Nicholas, and Dominique; numerous nieces and nephews; and special niece, Bette Davis and husband Jack who were very dear to her.
A graveside service will be held today (Saturday), January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour.
