BLUEFIELD —
Loessie E. (Taylor) Doss, age 101, of 315 Tank Hollow Road, Bluefield, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at her home.
Born on October 27, 1911 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late Isaiah and Mary Harman Hill. She had lived in Montcalm for 101 years and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cletus Taylor; her second husband, James Doss; a daughter, Barbara Taylor Lester Welch; and a grandson, Glenn Eugene Lester Jr.
Survivors include: Two sons: Donald Taylor of Montcalm, Ernie Taylor of Pulaski, Va.; two daughters: Myrtle Bradbury of the home and who was also her caregiver, Helen Westmoreland of Salem, Va.; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchildren; special caregivers: The angels at Amedysis Hospice and the Chaplain C.T. Lilly who helped the family get through this sad time.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Chaplain C.T. Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Friday from 10:30 -11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
